How to backup and restore emails in Private Email webmail

It is possible to backup your emails using the features provided by Open-Xchange platform.

In order to backup a single email select it, click on three dashes icon and select Save as option.
Email will be saved in .eml format to your computer

The procedure of exporting multiple emails at once is the same.
In this case all selected emails will be compressed into .zip archive and downloaded to your computer.

NOTE: the option Select all in App suite interface selects only emails shown on the screen, so if you have a large number of emails and you want to save them all at once, it is recommended to use previous version of Private Email web interface.

In OX6 interface click on one of the emails and press Ctrl+A in order to select all emails in the folder. After that click on Save option in the bar above

It will save all existing emails into .zip archive. If you have a large amount of emails it may take some time before they get compressed, so don’t reload the page until you get the file download prompt window.

Importing emails to Private Email

In order to import emails to App Suite webmail select them and then drag-n-drop to the required folder.

NOTE: You can import only emails saved in .eml format

Once the transfer is completed you will see all imported emails as unread ones
